This work is the fi rst of its kind in Russia and is intended for use at an advanced stage of studying Korean in Russian universities. Compiled on the basis of authentic texts from the North and South of the Korean Peninsula, written from the middle of the 20th century to the present day by various authors, both in the prescribed handwriting and in semi-cursive script. In addition to practicing reading and translating handwritten texts and expanding vocabulary, the manual provides an opportunity to familiarize oneself with the epistolary style of the Korean language. The textbook is preceded by a methodological note and an introduction outlining the approaches to working with the materials, and the documents themselves in the book's corpus are accompanied by lexical, grammatical, and cultural explanations of complex aspects. For senior students studying Korean and majoring in International Relations, Foreign Regional Studies, International Economic Relations, and Oriental and African Studies. This textbook will also be useful for anyone who is learning Korean or is already profi cient in Korean and wants to further improve their language skills.
