This textbook is designed to develop translation skills in the field of ecology and enhance analytical reading, comprehension, and translation of texts and documentation of international agreements, conventions, and protocols on environmental topics, taking into account the relevance of sustainable development goals. The first edition of this textbook by A. V. Lazareva and N. A. Serebrennikova, titled "English Language. Introduction to Environmental Sciences: Translation Course," was published in 2019. This edition has been supplemented with a "Theory and Translation Skills Section," which examines in detail the fundamental principles of translation and potential challenges, thereby promoting theoretical preparation and understanding of the fundamentals of translation studies. It is intended for advanced English language students specializing in ecology.
