A book of essays by M. A. Konarovsky, a prominent diplomat who worked in Afghanistan for more than 20 years, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary in Kabul in 2002-2004, is dedicated to the establishment and development of diplomatic relations between Russia and Afghanistan, the history of Russian emigration in this country in the first post-revolutionary years, some aspects of relations between Russia and Afghanistan at the turn of the 20th-21st centuries, as well as individual pages of Afghan history and culture. The book is the second edition, corrected and supplemented. The first edition was published in 2015. For orientalists, historians, specialists in international relations, as well as anyone interested in the history of Afghanistan.
