Goods once received for shipment become subject to cargo management where the transportation regime to choose is one of the key parameters of safety of the process. Thus, such physical features of goods as, for instance, hygroscopicity, flowability, sponginess, porosity, viscosity, fragility, and etc., dictate the type of packing (tare) and marking. As for the contractual specifics of settling down the transportation nuances, bases of delivery (trade terms) under INCOTERMS distributed by the International Chamber of Commerce represent a voluntary but decisive tool to use. Thus, the chapter neatly investigates each out of eleven INCOTERMS bases of delivery under the 2020 edition.
